Insights and inspirations from the Esri User Conference

July 23, 2024

We just got back from the Esri User Conference and are still riding that post-conference high! Before we dive back into our daily routines, let’s recap some of the fantastic moments and insights from last week.

Offline AI is a big deal

Talking to attendees, it became clear that offline AI is a major asset for field inspections, and Fulcrum is leading the way. Our platform offers essential built-in AI features like face blurring and text extraction that work perfectly offline. Plus, we make it easy for clients to integrate their own AI models, ensuring tailored solutions for their specific needs. This capability caught a lot of attention, highlighting the importance of reliable, offline solutions in field environments.

Flexibility is key

One major takeaway was the emphasis on platform flexibility. Field teams often needed to change their own forms from their phones, and our user-friendly platform made this possible. Fulcrum’s intuitive interface and drag-and-drop form builder let operations teams quickly create and edit forms and workflows. This empowered field teams to handle tasks independently, reducing the need for IT support and simplifying app maintenance.

Fulcrum’s suprising affordability

Think Fulcrum is out of reach? Think again! When people stopped by our booth, more than a few had the knee jerk reaction of, “Oh, you’re gonna be too expensive for us,” when they heard about Fulcrum’s features. However, they were pleasantly surprised to learn just how budget-friendly the platform really is. And if you’ve always assumed that Fulcrum’s advanced capabilities come with a hefty price tag, check out our pricing page and see how affordable we are!

Integration with Esri and more

The people we talked with — both current users and potential ones — emphasized the importance of seamless integration. Naturally, their primary focus was on our strong connection with Esri as a Silver Partner. However, they also stressed the importance of integrating with a variety of other systems, including ERP, CRM, and more, to ensure comprehensive workflow compatibility.

People love a good party

On Tuesday, Fulcrum hosted the Utilities Social at the Hilton Bayfront, attracting around 350 people. Sure, the free food and drinks were a big draw, but we’re confident that nearly everyone left with a better understanding of what we do and an appreciation of the Fulcrum platform — and not just for our generosity.
